Looking back at an extraordinary tour
RHEWUM has long maintained successful business relationships with customers and partners both in the Russian Federation and Belarus, and this year our Roadshow team set out on the long road from Remscheid to Russia. From St Petersburg to Nizhny Novgorod and back we covered almost 2.500km, from the Baltic Sea to the Volga River.
Our mobile RHEsono®(U) was well up to the task, and was even good for a screening surprise!
RHEWUM is known as a reliable partner for the chemical industry, for mining and the fertilizer industry, and so naturally the first material samples waiting for our mobile RHEsono®(U) were potash products: Granules of potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and pure potash salt, which our mobile RHEsono®(U) separated into 0.5mm fractions. A remarkable achievement for a mobile screening machine!
The second part of our tour was characterized by the needs of the construction and fertilizer industries. While screening quartz sand in the oblast Vladimir, our mobile RHEsono®(U) surprised those present with the following results: Usually, a wire mesh is used for screening quartz sand. However, the RHEsono®(U) can alternatively be fitted with a woven mesh. This combination not only worked, the quartz sand was perfectly separated at 0.8mm! For everyone who shared the experience, this was the greatest surprise during the Roadshow in Russia.
Screening machines from the RHEsono® family use direct excitation of the screening mesh to proactively counter agglomeration, which makes them favorites for separating fertilizers. Among the most important chemical fertilizers are NPK, and the explosive ammonium nitrate. RHEWUM screening machines of the WA(U) types are therefore available with ATEX certification. Even though both materials were provided as granules and exhibited a high entry velocity, our mobile RHEsono®(U) separated them at 2mm and 1.6mm, respectively.
On our way through Russia, we also took the opportunity to visit a longstanding RHEWUM customer in the oblast Leningrad. Two RHEstack® screening machines are currently in operation there to screen abrasives – and have been for 18 years.
