Annual Convention and International Sugar Expo of the Sugar Technologists Association of India (STAI)

From 20 to 22 August 2018 technologists from the Indian sugar industry will meet for the 76th time on the occasion of the annual convention of the STAI. This year, the event will be carried out for the first time in the state-of-the-art Brilliant Convention Centre in Indore.

During the intensive three day conference, the 1,000 expected participants from India and other sugar producing countries worldwide will have the opportunity to profit from each other’s experiences and discuss in depth the innovations made by research scientists, engineers, technologists, agriculturists, agronomists and the management experts.

Like in recent years, a concurrent exhibition is organized that offers the participants a platform for meeting significant international plant manufacturers, suppliers and service providers from the sugar sector and getting technical advice from these. Local representatives from RHEWUM India as well as colleagues from RHEWUM in Remscheid will be pleased to provide detailed information on sifting sugar and answer questions about the clean and efficient separation of the fine crystals at booth No. 17.

This year’s event venue Indore is located in the state of Madhya Pradesh surrounded by important sugar regions such as Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. As financial hub of the state Madhya Pradesh the city of Indore is also called Mini Mumbai and known for its diverse culture and architectural splendor. In 2017, the Urban Development Ministry, Govt. of India even ranked Indore as the cleanest city of India.
