Specific feature of the RHEWUM Magnetic Screen is the very fine screen cut specified by Colorobbia S.p.A..
A crushed glass mixture of 0.08 mm (0.003'' / approx. 170 mesh) up to 3.0 mm (0.118'' / approx. 6 mesh) has to be screened into two fractions of 80 µm to 150 µm (0.003'' - 0.006'' / 100 mesh - 170 mesh) and 150 µm to 300 µm (0.006'' - 0.012'' / 50 mesh - 100 mesh). The accepted amount of oversized particles of each fraction is max. 3% at a capacity of 20 t/h (22 STPH).
Several trials have shown that this exact screening can only be done by using a screening machine with electromagnetic drives type RHEsono®. In this project, a screening machine type RHEsono® 175x269/3 with the newly developed directly screwed DWA magnetic heads was chosen. These are controlled by the also newly developed control module type WA4, which reduces noise emission by the principle of active noise cancellation. To reduce wear, all parts of the machine which are in contact with the product are equipped with wear protection.
The design of the plant was made by Gruppo Minerali and delivery and assembling was done by company La Toscana Impianti. Especially Minerali Industriali and its subsidiary Sasil has profound experience in the field of glass processing.
