Sugar challenges manufacturers with special quality requirements. There must be no lumps in the finely sieved sugar. In addition, strict food specifications must be met.

RHEmoto to separate the lumps from the product

RHEWUM received a request from a large sugar manufacturer in the USA for a lump separation system. In this case, the sugar feed material already made fine screening inevitable, because the lumps also required a separation of less than 1 mm mesh size. A machine of the type RHEmoto was used for separation in the fine and medium grain range. The automatic cleaning system and the large number of motors guarantee maximum reliability. To comply with food regulations in the American market, stainless steel was used for all parts of the machine that come into contact with the product.

RHEspin for optimum distribution of the feed material on the machine

To further optimize the screening results, the sugar was fed onto the machine by a RHEspin rotary feeder. Due to their constant speed, cellular wheels meter and distribute the feed material evenly onto the screen cloth arranged below. Due to the optimum distribution, the screening area is optimally utilized. With this installation, it was possible to achieve the screening results required by the manufacturer without any problems.
