Everyone is talking about sustainability, at RHEWUM sustainability has been part of the company mission since foundation. But we don’t stop at economic sustainability. Sustainability management at RHEWUM follows a comprehensive approach, which we have taken the opportunity to present in an entertaining way on our website. Instead of preaching CO2-abstinence and raising a moral finger, our sustainability ambassador Dr RHE takes visitors on a journey of discovery through our sustainable RHEWORLD.

Sustainability has become an industry watch word. Almost every company has some way of contributing to a more efficient use of resources, or overhauls their production process with a greater view towards the environment. But these measures often only scratch the surface, and remain more cosmetic in nature, showing less concern for effective energy management or sustainability as a whole. RHEWUM GmbH thinks of sustainability not as an add-on, but as the future direction in which to take the entire facility.

The website presents this important issue in a decidely playful way, without raising a warning finger, but with lots of fun. The highlight is Dr RHE, who presents visitors with the actual by-the-minute data of the electricity generation of our photovoltaic system, and puts these data in relation to power consumption. But rather than boring our visitors with dry facts, different CO2 equivalents are calculated from the system’s data and presented with tongue in cheek. Did you know how much enriched uranium we save?

Already since 1927, RHEWUM has stood for durable, robust quality craftsmanship, and thereby for economic sustainability. Our screening machines are made for long term deployment, and output the highest quality over many years. Investing in a RHEWUM machine means deciding against a seemingly cheaper product with an ultimately worse ecological footprint.
